Footsteps Lots In Times Dust
"Footsteps Lost in Time's Dust" forms part of my exploration of Australia's layered history. This piece, painted, cut apart, and reassembled, symbolizes fractured stories and enduring resilience.
The figure of the woman and the dingo evoke themes of survival, connection, and loss, a tribute to those whose voices were scattered like dust but whose presence lingers in the landscape.
Footsteps Lost In Time’s Dust
Fragments painted, torn, and sown,
A story of resilience, silently grown.
Australia’s past, layered and deep,
Whispers of voices the dust can’t keep.
A lone woman strides, the dingo near,
Survival’s song, both faint and clear.
Connection lingers, loss takes its toll,
Yet echoes of strength weave through the whole.
Scattered like dust, their stories remain,
Etched in the land, through struggle and pain.
An enduring tribute, tender yet vast,
Footsteps of courage, shadows of the past.
